Mamba, synthetic cannabinoids and nitazenes |
We have received reports of up multiple hospital admissions in the Worcestershire area over the weekend related to a substance known as Mamba. This synthetic cannabinoid can be ingested by being smoked and has also been known to be found in vapes purchased from illegal sources. Some are increasingly cut with dangerous synthetic opioids like nitazenes, which have killed hundreds across the UK in the past year.
Common effects include feelings of light-headedness, dizziness, confusion and tiredness, feelings of excited, agitation, aggression, mood swings, suicidal thoughts, nausea and vomiting. Psychotic episodes can be potentially triggered.
Whilst drug users are the most obvious to be at risk, smokers and vapers also have potential to be exposed to this substance.
